Chapter #5 ‘The Flagship Team’

Sat straight within the chair Corporal Dalton paid close attention to the words spoken by General Bond. Never in her military career had she worked directly with a General – let alone one that was in a high position of power. He was a person that demanded respect and certainly knew what was happening and how.

Tilting her head slightly to the side, Victoria considered the words of the negotiations required and the importance of it. It made sense to send the flagship team, although Dalton did have that niggling bit of doubt, she felt that she lacked the experience needed to be on such a team. But experience came with… well getting the experience.

Her head snapped once more and shook her head in response to, “Questions?!”

“No sir.” Responding quickly and loudly.

The General had spoken everything she needed to know. Time would tell if this would be a fruitful alliance and ensure that they would get a successful mission.

MacGregor sat absorbing what the General had just told them. He knew that this was something big and at the end of the day, besides all of the admin and other bull that came with the job, he had to do this.

"No General!"

MacGregor glanced up at his team sat across from him and he saw Cpl.Carter push the folder away from him. This instantly sparked MacGregor into curiosity mode.

"Donald, what's on your mind?".

MacGregors glance then turned to Cpl.Dalton who instantly replied with "No sir".

"General, with us being a person down, will we have anyone else coming with us on this mission?"
