Mission #1 Planner

Hey guys!

Any thoughts on our first mission?

So we're looking at a change in leadership, we need to introduce a new threat (ideally not a siege on SGC just yet) - anything else?

Why not a good old fashion off world mission going wrong (as it always does here at the SGC)

And the powers that be have to make choices or maybe some negotiations?

Maybe introduction of a new enemy? Cause a bit of a panic/crisis?

SG-1 goes off on a routine recon and is captured, enemy tried to negotiate with us, we won’t negotiate they threaten a kill of they don’t get something, we’re told by IOA to do nothing and decide we’ll get stuck in anyways! Contingent is sent to get our guys out!

So who are the enemy?
So what do they want?
Why do they want it?

The enemy... is the enemy - no idea on a name. Maybe along the lines of Earth has been very noisy with travel over the last decades and have now been noticed. Yet, somehow not been defeated or destroyed so someone else wants a bash at it?

That does sound like a plan to me.

Perhaps... an enemy that was an enemy to Gould/Ori... one that was not known to SGC... or perhaps bring back the replicators?

Just a couple of ideas.

Definitely love the idea of the proverbial word hitting the fan off-world! Thinking a massive firefight, maybe some injuries etc.

With regards to the new enemy, I'm thinking something along the lines an ascended type being. Not sure where to go from there however.

Mission #1 “Winds of Change”

Earth, via Stargate Command is invited to come to the negotiating table by potential allies. It seems SGC has made some noise over the last 3 decades and have attracted some attention. Unfortunately, being popular usually draws a target on your back and the flagship team will be placed in the centre of peril – with political and personal pressures being placed on SG leadership, can they pull off a rescue? Will Stargate Commands ‘Old Guard’ stand when they’re needed the most?
